Comix Influx Blog: Interview with Guy Dessic on FPI

by Stephen Betts (thisisstephenbetts) on 29th April 2010

Joe Gordon of the always excellent Forbidden Planet International Blog wrote to tell us about an interview on their site with Guy Dessicy. It was translated by Wim Lockefeer of this parish.

Joe writes:

“Toon from the Stripgids comics journal in Europe did an interview alongside Hec Leemans with Guy Dessicy, one of the last of the folks to be there at the original Studio Hergé and that golden age of European comics. He apparently doesn’t do many long interviews, but Hec is a friend so he did one with him and Toon. As with the Leblanc one a couple of years back they’ve very nicely let us post up an English language edition translated by our regular Euro comics correspondent, Wim. First past went up yesterday: http://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/blog/2010/guy-dessicy-the-last-witness-herge-leblanc-and-abdallah/ and second part is up today: http://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/blog/2010/guy-dessicy-the-last-witness-part-2-publiart-belvision-and-vandersteen/. Third part will go up, yes, you guessed it, tomorrow, so if you’re up to your eyes in it as usual you can always kick back and enjoy reading it when the holiday weekend hits.”
