About This Book

This is volume 5 of the McConey series. Volumes 2 and 3 have been published as graphic novels in English by Fantagraphics, and NBM’s Oddballz anthology published volumes 1 (issues 5-8)and 4 (issues 1-4). I’m translating from the German edition of the book (titled Frühlings-erwachen or Spring Awakening), which is obviously itself a translation from the original French. Apologies if this leads to some idioms in the original being altered for German. Rather than translate literally, I’ll attempt to provide a more natural English language version, and if there are panel gaps between dialogue it’s because those panels are wordless. Specific characters are only cited if more than one speaks per panel.
